  • 09 Jun 2010
  • 14 Jun 2010
  • Asilomar Conference Center, Monterrey, CA
Wolbachia is a common facultative bacterial symbiont of arthropods that manipulates reproduction and is a mutualist of filarial nematodes that cause debilitating human disease.  As the field matures, the conference focus has broadened to include arthropod symbionts more generally, and the topics range from cell biology and genomics to biogeography and global surveys.  There is NSF-supported financial support available for travel for students and postdocs (deadline March 1).  Registration and abstract submission deadlines are March 14.
